It's Not Just About CBD Anymore: Scientists Bugging Out About CBG

There's a new cannabinoid researchers are getting excited about. The news about the wellness benefits of CBD have been sweeping the globe, with companies like Swissx making news and garnering endorsements from celebrities like Donatella Versace, Mike Tyson, Dave Navarro, Scott Disick of Keeping up with the Kardashians, and many more.

As a reminder CBD is the element in cannabis that doesn't get you high, and is legal almost everywhere. It's known to help with pain, anxiety, PTSD, MS, side effects of cancer treatment, sleep disorders and many many more things.

Now people are discovering CBG, and companies like Swissx are developing tremendous products from the lesser known cannabinoid, cannabigerol. CBG is being studied for its antibacterial qualities and its effectiveness in treating glaucoma, Huntington’s Disease, inflammatory bowel disease, bladder dysfunction disorders, and its ability to block receptors that cause cancer cell growth. Studies on mice have shown a very exciting possibility to cure colorectal cancer in particular.  Due to its appetite stimulant qualities, CBG may become non-psychotropic therapeutic option for cachexia, the muscle wasting and severe weight loss seen in late stage cancer and other diseases. Wherever the exciting discoveries about CBG take the medical world, Swissx is positioned to be ahead of the curve.
